Help Portrait, Houston 2011
On Saturday December 10, 2011, I was able to shoot for a great project called Help Portrait - a fairly new, now worldwide movement started by photographer Jeremy Cowart to help others through photography. The idea is pretty simple... Find someone, take their picture, and give them a print.
This year, the Houston-area group partnered with Project Row Houses and offered photography services to many who had not had their portrait taken either in a long time, or not at all. We met some great people on this Saturday morning and got to hear some amazing stories. If you're a photographer, makeup artist, or just like to help in some way, I encourage you to keep an eye out for Help Portrait next year. It's a great way to be a blessing to others through something we all love. :) For more information, check http://help-portrait.com
And a big thanks to my Help Portrait teammates Tre Jackson and Tommy Lyles!
